Hello Everyone,
As required by state law, the Jeffco Treasurer’s Department released the second tax distribution for March/2020 to Jeffco Schools in the amount of $29,846,039.18 – General Fund.
My dedicated staff and I continue to work at the Jeffco Admin Building (50% of staff at a time with rotating schedules and following all safety precautions as recommended by Public Health). The Admin Building is currently closed to the public, but we are working on a plethora of Treasurer projects including, but not limited to, monthly tax distributions to Special Districts (such as fire, school, local governments, etc.), paying bills, Treasurer Deeds, Deeds of Trust, property tax collections via online and USPS, and most of all, supporting and working with distressed taxpayers in Jeffco.

I have been on conference calls with the Governor’s Office, DORA, Special Districts, other County Treasurers, other elected officials and the state Treasurer. We are encouraging the Governor to extend the late property tax interest waiver to at least June 20th. County Treasurers are on the front line implementing this Executive Order and working with taxpayers.
